Editorial
Vol I:2
by Cathy Doran
It has been an interesting few weeks since the first edition was published. There was such a positive response! We have received a number of articles have been submitted for this, our second issue. I hope you enjoy them.
Our feature article is an interview with Chris Hett by Sonja Spahn. Chris recently left Baton Rouge to join with David Hoffmeister and the Messengers of Peace at the Living Miracles Monastery in Utah. The interview is a revealing glimpse into a lifestyle focused on experiencing the principles of A Course in Miracles.
Libby Crew, who has hosted ACIM study groups in Baton Rouge for more than seven years, is offering a series of introductory lessons to the Course. The target audience includes those who have heard of the Course and are curious about it but have not begun to study it.
Linda Cosentino, a Course teacher from Hammond, LA, writes in her unique style, a lesson about Jesus’ love for us. Eric Pearson, an internet zebra, sent a poem to meditate on Truth. Alisha wrote about her summer vacation spent with Regina Dawn Akers. Susan Dill, from Baton Rouge tells how she learned a parking lesson from Holy Spirit. Rev. Myron’s lesson is enlightening, as always.
The Voices of Light Conference is only one month away. It seems it was only yesterday we began planning it. But then, of course, there is no yesterday. Nouk Sanchez and Tomas Vieira were crucial in getting the conference going, and we are grateful for their support. We will miss Nouk and Tomas this October.
Thanks to so many who offered to present in their stead. After seeking Holy Spirit’s guidance, the planning committee accepted the offer of Messengers of Peace Noell Grace and Lisa Fair. They will be presenting a very interactive workshop that promises to joyfully release our creativity.
Forgiveness Rocks II was a wonderful time with Spirit. We met new friends. We shared, and laughed, and watched the stars, and drummed, and loved, and filled ourselves with Joy and Life. Let’s do it again in March 2011.
Thanks again for reading!
