Yesterday morning I think I could smell the oil spill here in Beaumont, Texas where Myron knows is where I live.
Roy's Ramblings

The three books A Course in Miracles (ACIM), The Holy Spirit’s Interpretation of the New Testament (NTI), and The has led Way of Mastery (TWoM) reflect a common thought system. Practicing this thought system me to a new perception of the world I see.
Now that has to be the most boring paragraph I have ever written. You who have studied these teachings will recognize the truth behind the words of the statement and yet also see how so very much more could be said. How though, can we put in words an understanding that arises out of the words we have read but has nothing to do with words? How can I convey the sense of peaceful joy that enfolds me when more blocks to True Loving perception fall away? How could I convince anyone how joyful it can be to discover that everything once thought to be true, was actually upside-down, reversed, delusional, insane and not real; and also be convinced that I chose it to be like that?
Back to that first paragraph now please, if you are still reading. Just what do these books have in common that we seem to be drawn to them as if they were a package deal. As if 1,200 pages of ACIM were insufficient for us so we had to also look at another 800 or so pages of NTI and TWom. I have spent way too much time with these teachings to ever again have a non-biased perception of what they give, but I will try:
For a new librarian or a Barnes & Noble clerk, one significant similarity may be very apparent; there are no author’s names on the spines of the books themselves. I have long since gotten past this anomaly but I am no stranger to having to explain it. For many folks there is a resistance to accepting the truth of a teaching that has no human’s name attached to authorship. It is as if the words will have for them less credibility instead of more. The only solution of course, for this resistance, is for one to just start reading the material anyway; then at some point the True Author will either become quite apparent or even better yet, the issue disappears altogether in light of Truth. Paraphrasing an Albert Einstein quote: “A problem cannot be solved by the same mind that created it.” What other way can there be then, to solve the ego/mind-body delusion problems, except from a source that, at first at least, seems to come from outside that realm? Thus, just opening the books and beginning to look with a willing and open mind may be a person’s first exposure to removing a block to Love’s eternal infinite presence.
This is a fitting Issue #1 newsletter topic but I may never ramble about it again. This topic of authorship is rarely discussed at workshops or retreats, perhaps because attendees have already dealt with this in their own way or perhaps we know that it is a non-productive exercise. The material speaks for itself and to attempt to exalt or deprecate the scribes and authors would be detrimental to the message.
